The traveling public are always asking important questions to determine whether they should attend a travel expo. We think everyone should want to attend, but let’s check out a few reasons why.

Any black travel consumer, influencer, travel related business owner, travel blogger, or persons wanting to obtain more knowledge about the travel industry and network with travel industry leaders.

By attending the only Black Travel Expo in the United States, you have a tremendous opportunity to network, learn and grow!

We want people to walk away with information they can use in order to make their travel journeys and experiences better.

It’s at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis in Atlanta, Georgia – June 2-5, 2022.

Although masks are not required, we encourage you to bring your own face coverings and wear them in all public and/or common areas such as the main lobby. You may remove your face covering while actively eating or drinking. Masks will not be required in the ballrooms, exhibition area or breakout session rooms. If needed, masks may be obtained at the registration area.

Please make sure that you have reviewed any advisories or restrictions that may be in place for travel to Atlanta. By attending you are confirming that you are not experiencing any of the following symptoms of COVID-19 identified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention at CDC.gov, including:

  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing.
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Have not been in contact with someone with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 symptoms without completing a 14-day quarantine.
  • Are not under any self-quarantine orders.


If you cannot confirm all of the above criteria you must not enter the expo area. If at any point during your attendance you do not meet all of the above criteria, please isolate, and contact our staff.

By attending the Expo, you acknowledge that you understand and will abide by the above health and safety requirements.

Enhanced cleaning procedures to high traffic areas will be in place at the expo. Additionally, hand sanitizers will be available throughout the venue for your use.

Enjoy your stay knowing that your hotel room will be thoroughly cleaned prior to your arrival plus common hotel areas will receive increased cleaning. Please take a moment to check out the host hotels website for complete details regarding housekeeping procedures.

Yes! You will be able to learn how to travel from travel consumers and experts in the industry. Plus, you’ll meet people in the travel industry who can help you get your feet off the ground and become a smart traveler and get the best deals. This is the best place to learn where to start.

Yes! You’ll be able to meet travel brands and tourism board during exhibitor days.

You will receive high level talks on monetization, SEO, product creation, conversion, writing, that will help you stay at the forefront of the industry and keep your blogging platform growing.

The keynote speeches, panel discussions and break-out sessions will each be about an hour long.

Yes! We have a limited amount of volunteer positions so please email volunteer@bte.co and we will contact you. We highly recommend that you live in the Atlanta area.

Each ticket includes access to exhibitor floor, all keynotes, pre-registered panel discussions and break-out sessions, networking opportunities, meetings with brands and tourism boards, meet-ups, live entertainment, and the best time of your life!

Only two thousand. We want to keep it intimate so you will have the opportunity to meet, network, and rub shoulders with as many people as you can within the travel industry.

No. We don’t sell tickets at the door.

No, there is paid parking at the hotel and street parking. If you need to travel during your stay, Uber, Lyft, trolleys, bike, or walk are available to get you where you need to go! Downtown Atlanta is quite easy to get around!

Tickets are not refundable but are transferable up to 30 days before the event takes place. So, if you find someone to take your ticket, we’ll happily switch the registration!

Yes, we’re always looking for high quality sponsors and gear for our attendees. Email us at sponsors@bte.co and we will send information about our sponsor packages and how to get involved.

Unfortunately, we do not accept speaker applications. With so many people in the travel industry, it is impossible to keep up with the volume of emails we get from people asking to be a speaker. If you email us to be a speaker, we will simply delete your email.

Black Travel Expo believes in purpose over profit; however, no key staff member should work for free and we want to ensure we follow through with that. We compensate all our speakers, therefore reflect the overhead cost. You have confidence that your favorite speakers, panelists, influencers, and key staff members have been compensated for their time! After all, “exposure” does not pay the bills!
